They Bullied Her Online For Wearing This Prom Dress. Her Response? It Went Viral!

Eighteen-year-old Kristen Layne from Goodlettsville, TN became the target of vicious internet bullying after posting photos of herself to Facebook, wearing her junior prom dress.

Kristen wanted to sell the dress and use the funds to buy her new senior prom dress. But just minutes after she posted the photos, two men began attacking her weight and looks in the comments section.

“These two men were just saying some very hateful things, just telling me I was fat and that I wasn’t beautiful,” Kristen told reporters.

Kristen defended herself in a very polite way: “Can you please stop with the comments? Sorry that I’m not pleasing to your eye,” she responded.

As soon as her comment posted, hundreds of people began jumping to her defense, writing that she looked “stunning” in the dress and was “beautiful inside and out.”

Things got even better for Kristen, who had planned on spending about $350 on her new dress. She ended up raising more than $2,000 in just three days, thanks to some very generous and passionate people online. Yes!!

“I don’t know how to say thank you to people and accept the compliments because it doesn’t happen a lot. Don’t let anyone break you down,” Kristen Said.

Causing others to feel bad about themselves for the way they look is the worst type of bullying. After all, beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, and there is nothing wrong about not having the “perfect” body. And what does “perfect body” mean, anyway?
