While traveling from Alaska to Eugene to begin a new life, Robert Wood and his family stopped in a park where they planned to sleep in their car because they had not found housing yet, and wanted to save a bit of money. After the park closed for the night, a police officer came knocking on the car window. What happened next changed the Wood family forever.
Eugene Police Lt. David Natt saw Robert’s four4-year-old son Samuel sleeping on his chest, his pregnant wife Heather, and 2-year-old Logan sleeping on her. He got concerned.
Instead of writing them a ticket, officer Natt offered the family two nights at a hotel on him! This allowed the family enough time to secure temporary housing with a friend while they looked for a permanent home.
The family was so moved by the officer’s act of kindness that they shared the story with family and friends on Facebook. Almost immediately, the post went viral and people from all over the world flooded the comment section expressing their gratitude and thanks.
The two men later said they are vets from the same Marine Corps unit about 10 years apart. Wow!
That was an amazing story. If you agree, please SHARE this video with your friends on Facebook!
