When an man got stuck in the mud and water last weekend at Buck Creek State Park in Springfield, Ohio, the water was too shallow to get a rescue boat out to where he was stuck, up to his chest. To make matters worst, the water was about 33 degrees.
Luckily, the man’s dog was also there, running back and forth, barking at his owner. That’s when rescuers came up with a solution: Attaching the a rope to the dog’s collar and send him to his owner. As you can see in video below, it worked! The dog swam the rope to his owner, who was then retrieved to solid ground.
This should serve as a reminder that when leaving home, you should always consider bringing your cell phone… and your dog.
