A Las Vegas driver was issued a $200 ticket after putting on lip balm while waiting at a red light, reported KLAS
Stephanie Fragoso said she received a ticket from a Boulder City police officer during a statewide crackdown on distracted drivers.
When she asked the officer why he pulled her over, the officer responded it was for putting on makeup.
Fragoso thought it was a joke, and told the cop “it is Chapstick.” But when she received the citation, she quickly realized that was not the case.
She said she learned a tough lesson that day and plans to be more conscious.
We all agree that drivers should be responsible and keep their eyes on the road. That said, do you think the ticket was justified? Or was a warning a more appropriate response? Please share your opinion in the comment section below!
