An 18-year-old supermarket employee is being hailed a hero for his selfless act of kindness

When Christian Trouesdale, a supermarket employee, saw 95-year-old customer Bob Malloy buying his groceries, he went above and beyond his job description and took it upon himself to accompany the elderly customer home to make sure he arrived safely.

According to media reports, “a customer snapped a picture of the pair walking hand-in-hand.” The customer then shared the picture on Facebook where it quickly went viral.

While he has been lauded as a hero, the 18-year-old says he feels “his compassionate act was nothing spectacular.”

However people around the globe have started a GoFundMe campaign to reward the supermarket employee for his good deed.
