In a heroic moment that sounds like the final scene of an action film, a British sniper saved a man and his eight-year-old son from certain death at the hands of ISIS after shooting dead the man who was about to execute him.
The father and son, who belonged to the Shia sect whom Isis regard as infidels, were going to be killed because they refused to renounce their faith.
The hero SAS sniper managed to shoot the would-be executioner in the head from 3,000ft away before taking out three other terrorists, saving the lives of a father and son who were about to be beheaded.
The British snipers had been tipped off by an Iraqi spy and rushed the scene in northern Syria close to the Turkish. Upon arrival they, they watched as the father and son were dragged out blindfolded. A bearded man then spoke to the crowd whilst brandishing a large knife. But they were there just in time to prevent the killings.
“Someone from the crowd then ran over and untied the father and son’s hands and took their blindfolds off,” reports The Mirror.
The Sniper team was later told the village held a party to celebrate the miraculous rescue of their victims, according to the report. The terrorists have since refused to enter the town.
