For years, Houston resident Charlie George has been walking his dogs every morning. However, his Leukemia diagnosis has made these walks much more difficult over time.
One day, while walking his dogs, he noticed an empty chair on a neighbor’s front lawn. Feeling tired because of his leukemia, he sat down and rested for a few minutes. Little did he know, his neighbor had placed the chair there to give him a resting place during his walks.
Seeing just how much this simple act meant to Charlie, all the neighbors joined in on the kind gesture, and “Chairs for Charlie” was born. The video below, posted by CBS News, picked up this inspiring story:
