George and Lucian, both 69, were born in Germany. They adopted by two different families after their Polish mother was sent off to labor camp.
“When she became ill and could not look after them the twins were taken to Poland and adopted separately. For many years they did not know each other existed,” According to BBC. Now they were finally reunited after being separated for 70 years.
The video below shows he moment the two shed tears over discovering the close friend and brother they at one time never knew they had.
“In my heart, I always had a feeling that I did have a twin brother,” Poznanski, who has been living in Poland, tells BBC. “I don’t care about winning the lottery. I just want to have my brother by my side.”
The twins were able to find each other through the Red Cross Restoring Family Links Programme and met in Poland. Watch:
