Abandoning a pet is always wrong, but abandoning a poor blind dog who’s sick and scared out of her wits is an especially despicable act. Unfortunately, that’s what happened to Poly, an adorable 3-year-old blind pit bull who was rescued from a public park in Santa Maria, California.
Poly was found in a park by a Santa Barbara rescue team last week. She had just been taken to the park and left on the bench.
To make matters worse, she had just given birth, according to Jennifer Wales, president and founder of Foreverhome Pet Rescue.
Unfortunately, her puppies couldn’t be found. The Santa Barbara County Animal Services has put her up with a foster home until they can find her a permanent home.
We’re glad this poor dog was found, and hope her puppies are safe. Please share this post with everyone you know.
