Target is facing backlash from customers who are outraged over the retail giant’s decision to sell Christmas sweaters embellished with the phrase, “OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder,” reported SF Globe.
Customers took to social media to express their disappointment soon after the controversial sweter was put on display. Several posts on Twitter publicly blast the store, calling it an “exploitative holiday message that they feel makes light of their mental illness.”
Target responded with a statement saying: “We never want to disappoint any of our guests and apologize for any discomfort. At this time, we have no plans to remove this item from our assortment,” according to the “Today” show website.
