Willie Murphy, a 77-year-old grandmother, has spent the last four years of her life pouring her heart and soul into powerlifting.
When she heard about track and field for seniors over 50, she recognized that she needed to gain an edge in life. That’s when she began working out with heavy weights, and little by little, she gained enough strength to compete.
Weighing in at only 105, she has incredible strength for her size and age. As she spends more time powerlifting, she becomes more independent in other areas of life. This is one grandma that won’t be needed any help bringing the groceries in.
