After the singer who was scheduled to perform the National Anthem at a recent college basketball game between West Virginia University and the University of Kansas got stuck in a traffic during a snowstorm, a police officer stepped in to sing, and his amazing performance has gone viral.
Officer Carlton Smith delivered an incredible impromptu performance of Star-Spangled Banner after singer Leslie Dorchester got stuck in a snowstorm. The cop made his performance with only a five-minute notice after someone remembered he was a 2014 American Idol contestant.
A video of the officer’s impassioned performance was shared on social media where people were left in awe of the law enforcement member’s pipes. Trust me, you will be too!
