Cancer is surely one of the deadliest diseases known. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. In 2016, an estimated 246,660 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women in the U.S.
Janne is one of many woman who have had to battle with breast cancer. She was diagnosed at the age of 39. She hasn’t given up and today she stands up for the fight against breast cancer. The Danish campaign, Sæt Pris På Brysterne, which means “set price on the breasts,” calls for people to their story.
The campaign encourages people to support by taking a photo with two items that have a personal meaning to them, and to share their story on why they support the fight against breast cancer.
