Homeless Teen Graduates Top Of His Class, His Story Is Inspiring Millions
Imagine not having a home to come to after a long day at work or school. Well for this young man, that was his reality. He didn’t let that stop him from graduating at the top of his class.
Griffin Furlong and his family have been struggling for 12 years, after his mother died of Leukemia. The family lost their home. They moved countless times from shelter home to hotels, or anywhere they could stay.
Incredibly this didn’t stop Furlong from achieving his goal of Graduating and going to college. He actually used his situation as motivation. He told reporters, “I never want to live a life like that again.”
Furlong makes sure to remind himself to keep striving, he writes on the back of his baseball caps “never give up.”
With hard work Furlong graduated at the top of his class and will be attending Florida State University.
