After Being Saved From Two Attackers By A Stray Dog While Vacationing, Woman Travels Back 6000 Miles To Adopt Her Hero

Vacationing can be an amazing experience and an adventure of a lifetime. For 25-year-old Georgia Bradley, her trip to Greece would be one that she would never forget.

While vacationing in Crete with her boyfriend, Georgia decided to go for a walk by herself on the beach. That’s when two guys approached her. They began talking to her and asking her to go for a drink. She was scared and didn’t know what to say.

When one of the guys got closer and grabbed her by the arm, a stray dog came to the rescue. She began to walk next to Georgia and started barking at the two men. Eventually they went away.

“She saved me,” Georgia said to the Plymouth Herald. “She must have noticed something was wrong. When I went back to the apartment she followed me and finally let us stroke her. We had an instant bond.”

Georgia decided to name the heroic dog Pepper. She and her boyfriend took care of Pepper until they eventually had to fly back to London. Unfortunately she had to say goodbye to Pepper.

“When we left to go to the airport,” Georgia said, “we looked back and Pepper was running after the car. It was heartbreaking.”

When she returned home, Georgia could not stop thinking about Pepper. She decided that she was going to take the risk of finding her. Two weeks after coming back home to London, Georgia went back to Crete to look for her savior. “It was a real risk because we may never have found her again,” she said, “but when we saw Pepper on the beach, it was the best feeling ever.”

It wasn’t an easy task to adopt the stray dog. She had no papers or vaccination records, and the vet told Georgia that she had to prove Pepper was a stray before he was able to examine her. It took more than five weeks and 6000 miles of back-and-forth traveling but Pepper had made it home.

“It has been such a crazy journey,” Georgia said to the Plymouth Herald, “but I am over the moon. Pepper has settled in brilliantly.”

Not only did Georgia get to keep Pepper, but the dog had a little surprise in her belly!
