Love is eternal, through the worst and through the best of it. This 92-year-old man had wanted to sing “You’ll Never Know” to his 93-year-old wife, and had done so in the most loving way.
Moments before this video began, when 93-year-old Laura Virginia Serena heard that her husband, Howard, was in the room, she asked if she could hold him. Despite not being able to stand on his own, Howard pulled his wheelchair close to her bed ready to make it happen. Serena, a physical therapist, soon helped him to his feet and held him up so that they could embrace each other. That’s when Howard had the lovely thought to sing “You’ll Never Know” to the most wonderful woman in his life.
Although having impaired vision seeing and difficulty speaking, the wife begins singing as well, showing the bond between the two lovers who had been married for 73 years. This was the same song that he sung to comfort her when he went away to fight in World War II.
