This remarkable photo, showing a loving father sleeping under his son’s hospital has touched the Internet’s heart. Despite working a long work shift, this dad wasn’t going to miss spending a minute with his sick son.

Little Andre Jesse Palmer was being treated at York Hospital Pediatrics in Pennsylvania after suffering “an asthma attack. His mother, Amy Palmer, snapped this photo of her husband who she said was exhausted after a long shift at work and fell asleep under the hospital bed where their boy was sleeping.

“I thought to myself after working all night he didn’t have to come to the hospital,” said Amy. “He could have went home to sleep.”

Amy said she was asleep in a chair when her husband came in. When she woke up, she spotted him under the crib and took a picture.

She wrote on Facebook:

“This is a picture of a hard working man dedicated to his family!! After working all night third shift, he’s right here with his son who is in the hospital. He’s so tired but he’s here!! Father of the year award goes to Andre Palmer!!! I love you more than words baby.”

As for AJ, Palmer says he is doing much better and all three are back home now, sleeping comfortably in their own beds.
