Thirty-seven-year-old Li Juhong is the most beloved doctor in her village just outside of Chongqing, China. She’s unlike any doctor you’ve seen before and the reason is blowing people’s minds all over the world.

Her incredible story began when she was just a toddler. At age 4, she had to have her legs amputated after a terrible car accident, but instead of losing heart, she ended up being inspired by the tragic incident.

Despite having no legs, Li has worked as a village doctor for the last 15 years.

She visits her patients every single day, using wooden benches as “legs” to get around.

After years of practice, she’s pretty adept at moving.

According to Shangailist, Li has worn out a total of 30 benches over her 15-year career as a village doctor.

To make her job less exhausting, her husband often carries her on his back while visiting her patients.

Over the past 15 years, Li has helped her fellow villagers on around 6,000 different occasions, reported ChinaNews.

During a recent interview, the inspiring doctor said: “Compared with most others, I’ve come against more difficulties. But, I always whisper to myself that ‘God helps those who help themselves’ in order to inspire me to keep moving forward.”

Li’s incredible dedication has inspired her 12-year-old son who says he plans to become a doctor as well.
