In the United States, about eleven million children younger than the age of five are in some form of child care, under the care of about two million workers, in whom parents all over the country put their trust, according to Child Care Aware.

For parents, the safety of their children is paramount. So when they drop their children off at daycare, they expect them to be safe and in excellent hands. But a hidden-camera video has surfaced that shows some daycare facilities are anything but safe.

The footage revealed a shocking incident that took place in the play room at Kids Stop and Play Daycare in Pasco County, Florida. It shows 49-year-old Linda Klem kicking a sleeping toddler several times. After the security footage was released, Klem was arrested and charged with child abuse.

Miraculously, the toddler who was kicked suffered no serious injuries. Klem, who worked at the daycare for four years, denies kicking the child despite being caught on film doing so. Please be warned, the video is a bit disturbing, and may not sit well with you.

What a heinous act! It’s hard to understand why someone would ever do such a thing. We could only hope that the suspect faces harsh consequences. Share this video to spread awareness of this despicable crime.
