Here at Tabooya, we love sharing brilliant ideas. So when we can across this project from inventor Colin Furze, we knew we had to share it with you.
Furze, a plumber, stuntman, inventor, filmmaker, and YouTube personality, spent two months transforming his backyard into something much more incredible, not just for his personal fun but for the enjoyment of others as well: a zombie-proof bunker to survive the apocalypse. Yup, that sounds like fun.
But what would even spur him to think of such a thing? Well, he was an expectant father and, as tends to happen with fathers, he was beginning to get a bit anxious and wondered what would people do if they learned that the world was going to end in 34 days… a zombie-proof bunker sounded about right to him.

So this was not necessarily exclusively a zombie bunker but just a general safety zone, disguised as an ordinary shed.

The entire bunker/man cave is underground and has everything anyone would need to survive an apocalyptic disaster.

There’s a kitchen stocked with nonperishable food, a working toilet, a bed, and, of course, a huge TV and surround-sound system.

And just in case the zombies DO find the bunker, Furze has also outfitted it with weapons to defend himself against whatever he may face.

He describes it as the “ultimate man cave and survival cell rolled into one sub-garden room.”
