With some people, once they set their mind on something, there’s absolutely no stopping them. This Canadian man is exactly one of those people – not even a massive tornado deterred him from mowing some grass.

Theunis Wessels was photographed mowing the backyard with a massive tornado swirling in the background. His wife, Cecilia Wessels, captured the photo and posted it on Facebook shortly after – the caption reads “My beast mowing the lawn with a breeze in his hair.”

The photo of the tornado is quite captivating on it’s own, but the husband mowing just below is the cherry on top.

“I literally took the picture to show my mum and dad in South Africa, ‘Look there’s a tornado,’ and now everyone is like, ‘Why is your husband mowing the lawn?’,” Cecilia told The Canadian Press.

While Cecilia was asleep on Friday morning, her 9-year-old daughter woke her up to the unexpected – the daughter said dad wouldn’t come inside despite seeing a tornado forming in the sky. She rushed to check on Theunis.

Turns out everything was ok – Theunis told The Canadian Press the tornado was actually much further than it seemed.

“It looks much closer if you look in the photo, but it was really far away. Well, not really far, far away, but it was far away from us,” he told them. “I was keeping an eye on it.”

Cecilia originally captured the photo to share it with family, but since then, the photo has been shared thousands of times.
