If it had not been for these amazing people, the lives of these nine beagles may have ended without ever seeing the outside world.
The Beagle Freedom Project is a non-profit rescue group dedicated to saving the lives of beagles from abusive testing in labs across the world. The group also saves many other kind animals as well, including horses, cats and mixed-breed hounds.
Beagles are often sought after in lab testing for their obedient, trusting and compliant traits. They’re simply too friendly to fight back.
That’s why this rescue group stepped in to rescue these dogs from a laboratory in Nevada. Until the day they were rescued, these beagles had never known a kind touch, been loved or felt safe. Their lives just changed for the better:
After they touch grass for the first time, it’s clear these pups were more than happy to be rescued. Wonderful!
