His knowledge of how dangerous wild animals can be did not deterred a man from letting a lion out of its cage and stand in from of it.

A video posted online shows the amazing moment a rescued lion is let out of its cage by a man who helped raise the lion as a cub.

Valentin Gruener was visiting the lion at the Modisa Wildlife Project in Botswana when he decided to open the cage. Almost immediately the lioness jumps on the man and embraces in him in a giant hug. A truly amazing scene. The footage has more than 2.5 million views on YouTube. “This is one of the best experiences of my life!” cameraman Jonathan Hawkins wrote on YouTube.
