If you are like me, you are probably having a stressful week. Juggling between your kids school and social activities, paying an unexpected home maintenance bill, plus prepping for a big meeting with the boss. Worrying about your health. All of these mundane troubles can make anyone tense and grumpy.
In order to keep my sanity, I sought out some help to snap out of my mood. So I gathered some stress-busting tips to from experts around the web. I incorporated some of them into my life ands immediately felt better. Here are my three favorites:
Wake Up Early
Several studies have correlated waking up early with success. By rolling out of bed 15 to 20 minutes before your usual time, you can head out the door feeling more proactive. Harvard biologist Christoph Randler discovered in 2008 that early risers are more proactive. Randler’s research also revealed that “morning people” are more likely to anticipate problems and minimize them efficiently, which leads to more successful in the business world.
Clean Out Your Work Space
Having a cluttered workspace can be stressful. “Purging unused items gives a sense of order to your physical environment, which helps you feel calmer about your stressors,” says Lauren Napolitano, PsyD, a psychologist at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania. Tidying up can reduce your feelings of pressure and constraint.
Cleaning up simply feels good, and you can see tangible results afterward: It reduces your stress.
Think Positive. No more stress
Positive people overcome stress more easily. That’s because the main cause of stress is worry and negative thoughts. Negativity can blind people’s mind. On the other hand, positive thinking and optimistic attitude will turn all your problems into opportunities.
When you start having positive thoughts, you will start to notice solutions and will understand that every problem is actually an opportunity to grow and your stress will be gone.
