Nasa conducted a successful test fire for world’s largest solid rocket booster in preparation for deep space travel. The two minute long test is a major milestone in the development of Nasa’s new Space Launch System.

The powerful motor was built to power NASA’s new SLS heavy lift rocket and propel astronauts to deep space. The booster is as powerful as a 14 Boeing 747-400s at full takeoff power, producing 3.6 million lbs at maximum thrust. Watch:
