When Rhema Marvanne was born, she weighed 4.11 lbs and had to stay in the NICU for three weeks before she was taken home. Her mother, Wendi Marvanne, died due to ovarian cancer at the age of 36, in 2008. That’s when little Rhema started singing.
At the age of six, Rhema gained Internet fame after recording her first song, “Amazing Grace”. Within the first 90days of it’s release, the video reached more than 10 million views on vimeo. And can see why. This little girl has an angelic voice that can touch your heart.
After releasing this video, Rhema appeared on several TV shows, including Ellen Degeneres, Oprah, Maury Povich, and other national morning shows. She also landed her first cameo in a major motion picture singing this very song along side Gerard Butler in ‘Machine Gun Preacher.’
