Zlata was only 4 years old when her kindergarden teacher noticed how flexible she was. Now at 24, she can perform jaw-dropping contortions that would literally break the backs of the rest of us.

Her mind-bending abilities were featured on a Discovery Channel show in 2010. In the clip below, a doctor examines Zlata’s outrageous postures in an MRI machine, and found her ligaments are similar to those of babies; allowing her to move into positions that will alter your understanding of the human body.

Zlata one of only a handful of women in the whole world who can bend equally forward and backward. She holds the Guinness Word Record by bursting three balloons with her backbend in just 12 seconds.
