A remarkable image captures the true meaning of compassion and takes the internet by storm.
The moving photo shows a teen in Baltimore, praying over a homeless man. It was shared on Facebook by Eric Gaines, who uses the pseudonym Jonathan A. Stormz on the website. The picture has gone viral with thousands of shares as social media users marveled at the teen’s thoughtfulness.
Gaines, who’s a police officer for the University of Maryland, told ABC News: “It was a powerful moment. Everyone who saw him in the area was moved.”
“This was an amazing sight! I pray this kid becomes a leader amongst his peers, and continues on this path!!” Gaines wrote on Facebook.
Gaines was on duty at the time when he witnessed the incredible moment. The teen was just passing by when he decided to walk over to the sleeping homeless man. He then reached out to the homeless man to pray.
“It was done out of the goodness of the teen’s heart since he almost missed the bus because of his prayer,” Gaines told ABC News.
