They Were Devastated By This Accident, But It's The Cop's Move That Shocked Them

Published on Feb 7, 2015

Sometimes it’s the saddest of circumstances that bring out the best in us. A group of friends gathered at a Ninety-Nine restaurant in Rockland, Massachusetts to mourn the loss of Patrick Sullivan, someone they knew and loved who died in a car crash on New Year’s Day. Eating next to them was a local police officer who learned about their tragic loss, and what he did next shocked everyone at the table.

Without saying a word, the officer paid for their meal, and left. He didn’t leave a name. The bill? It came to over $400. When they tracked him down, he said he didn’t want recognition for his deed and wanted to keep it to himself.

We, at Tabooya, love hearing stories like this about the men and women who protect & serve our communities. Be sure to share it with your friends!
