Every year, many babies suffocate and die from heat exhaustion after being left alone in hot cars, while parents go shopping.

In an effort to bring awareness to this issue, ABC News’ program ‘What Would You Do?’ produced a social experiment to see how people react when they see a child trapped in a car in a hot summer day.

After placing hidden cameras, the producers hired a woman to leave a ‘struggling baby’ in this red car, with windows, up. The baby is a doll, and the cries are fake, but when you’re in the moment, the only thing that crosses your mind is that this baby is in danger.
