Beagles Freed From Chemical Lab Put Their Paws On Grass For the First Time

Published on Apr 23, 2015

These Beagles have spent almost their entire lives locked in cramped metal lab cages. Last week they felt real grass beneath their paws for the first time. The raw emotion displayed by these newly freed dogs is truly a sight to behold.

The dogs were freed from a South Korean laboratory in February. Some pharmaceutical labs use these bred for biomedical research. Beagles are commonly chosen not only because of their small size, but also because of their gentle and docile nature.

According to The Dodo, the laboratory had planned to euthanize the dogs before the animal rescue group Beagle Freedom Project, rescue became involved and convinced them otherwise.

The video below shows the remarkable moment these adorable dogs tough the ground. One pup in particular can be seen holding back, apparently afraid of his new surroundings.

We can’t get enough of this video, but how did you feel about it? Please SHARE this incredible moment, and let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
