Not having a place to call home is one of the most disheartening things anyone can experience. Unfortunately, in the U.S. there are a record number of homeless people. To say it’s an epidemic is an understatement. While it can be difficult to find the best way to help, sometimes we are inspired by men like Elvis Summers.

When Elvis met 60-year-old homeless neighbor, Smokie, who had been sleeping in the dirt on his street, he wanted to give her something of greater value than cash, something that might otherwise be unattainable on her own. This is what he did:

That was awesome! Additionally, the cops in Elvis and Smokie’s neighborhood support the tiny home, so she won’t have to sleep in the dirt anymore.
