He Was Holding a Woman And Her Children Hostage. What She Did To Escape, CLEVER!

A Florida woman held hostage at knife point was able to save herself and her children by placing an online pizza order with a secret message asking for help, reported ABC

According to the report, the online pizza order for a small hand-tossed classic pizza with pepperoni was received by the Pizza Hut in Avon Park. But under the comments section, there was a message asking them to “send help” and “call 911” as the customer was being held hostage.

Thankfully, the quick-thinking Pizza Hut employees noticed the comments were out of the ordinary and called the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the situation.

When deputies arrived at the home they were greeted by Cheryl Treadway who was carrying a small child in her arms. She whispered to the deputies that her boyfriend, Ethan Nickerson, was in the home armed with a knife and that her other two children were also in the home with him. She was immediately escorted to safety, as other deputies approached the home.

After talking to Nickerson for about 20 minutes, Lieutenant Ludden was able to talk him into coming out peacefully. The other two children were then removed from the home, unharmed.
