College Student Accused of 'Harassment' For Waiting To Speak to His Academic Advisor

After numerous attempts to schedule an appointment with his academic advisor, Kevin Bruce, a student at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, decided to go to the office and see her in person. He just had a couple of questions. But he never expected the answer he got.

Once in the office, Bruce was told that “his adviser was busy and that he should complete a form and come back in an hour.” But when Bruce said he’d rather wait, university staff Abby Dawson walked into the waiting room and what followed has set the internet abuzz.

Dawson immediately confronts Bruce, accusing him of “harassment” and threatening to call campus security because he was waiting to speak to his adviser.

“I’m not harassing no one. I’m just waiting to speak with somebody,” Bruce replies.

“Yes, you are! Waiting here until someone is available is harassment,” Dawson said.

Bruce’s reaction? “Oh my God!”

Bruce filed a complaint with Kennesaw State, and the school said it’s investigating the incident.

The incident was caught on video, which went viral after it was posted online. Watch:
