Students Yell At The Bus Driver to STOP. The Reason Why Is Alarming


A disturbing video, captured by a school bus surveillance camera, shows the moment terrified students from Allegany County, NY, plead with their bus driver to stop the bus before something terrible happens.

In the clip below, we can see the students yelling at the bus operator, Martha Thompson, to pull over. The sense the unrest on the bus is evident. The reason? the 55-year-old woman was operating the vehicle with a .15 blood alcohol content, nearly twice the legal limit, putting these children’s lives in danger.

According to media reports. the children revealed that Thompson reached speeds up to 70 miles per hour and hit a mail box. The woman pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated as well as 37 counts of reckless endangerment.

Thompson was sentenced to 90 days of jail, six months of electric home monitoring, and five years of probation.

While many parents felt that the punishment didn’t fit the crime, Thompson’s attorney said that “the incident has helped turn Martha’s life around and has motivated her to seek out the proper help.
