Two Boys Rescue Young Children From Burning House

It started like a typical summer day 11-year-old Jeremiah Grimes and 10-year-old Isiah Francis, sitting on the couch watching YouTube and playing video games on the couch, but then they smelled something unusual. What followed put their young lives to the test.

Disturbed by a burning smell, they looked out the window and saw smoke streaming from the home next door. They ran outside and found the neighbor frantically searching for water to put out the flames as two young children struggle for air in the kitchen.

Armed with heroic courage, Isiah ran inside and found the 1-year-old and 8-month-old boys sitting on the floor. With Jeremiah’s guidance, he was able to get the 1-year-old and 8-month-old boys from the burning home.

Isiah said Jeremiah was telling him which way to go from the door of the home since he could see better outside the intensity of the smoke.

“It was really smoky,” Isiah said. “I could kind of see, but I had to use my sense of touch.”

Jeremiah called 911 and two other children were rescued by firefighters who arrived moments later.

Great kids! We need more like them!
