Children are curious by nature and tend to mimic almost everything they see around them. That’s why it’s important to keep an eye on them at all time. When a child is left unattended, even for a few seconds, anything can happen. It’s unfortunate that an increasing number of accidents involving children are fruits of negligence by their elders.

In the video below, captured by a CCTV camera, this father steps out of his vespa, leaving the engine running. While he is engaged on his own his business, he fails to notice that his curious daughter has walked away from his side, and onto the bike. What happens next is one of the most heart-stopping scenes I’ve ever seen.

Thank God the girl escaped seemingly uninjured from this scary accident. I hope this father learned his lesson, and that the video serves as an example of the importance of keeping close watch over our children.
