Have you, at one time or another woken up unable to speak or move in the middle of the night? Well, you’re not alone.
This mysterious phenomenon, known as sleep paralysis, has baffled scientists for centuries. It may last a few seconds, several moments, or even longer, and usually occurs right before you wake up.
While Scientists dismiss these frightening episodes as simply “hallucination’, those who experience it have reported feeling the “presence” of something often described as “malevolent, threatening or, evil,” and many feel a large amount of terror and panic when experiencing sleep paralysis. Many individuals report being conscious during a paralysis state while in bed.
The Bible teaches us of the existence of a spiritual realm that we are not able to perceive without being ‘in the spirit.’ But not having facts to identify the phenomenon as such would perhaps be better to leave it as ‘unexplained.’
Do you have a reasonable explanation for this? Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
