The number of unwanted pets roaming the streets of our communities is truly alarming and, unfortunately, ignored by many. It’s a heartbreaking reality we live with. Thankfully, there are some people out there who have dedicated their lives life to help those dogs and cats in need.

The dog you see below was found on the streets by the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals. He was so dirty and his fur was so thick, he could barely be recognized as an animal – let alone a dog. At first, they thought he was a pile of trash, but then the dog moved, they were shocked and heartbroken.

He had so much dirty fur that he appeared much larger than he actually was.

When his rescuers shave off the nasty hair, they discovered a loving, wonderful boy underneath.

He was a little frightened by the buzzing sound of the hair clipper

But he realized he was being helped

He lived his life as a pile of trash. But not anymore.

Our animal friends can’t help themselves, so we need to step in. While it may be impossible to help every homeless animal roaming on the streets, every effort we make to help these homeless creatures counts.
