The month of September will always bring memories of worst terrorist attack in our nation’s history. It’s hard to believe that it’s been fourteen years since the tragic event of 9/11/2001. But it’s still fresh in my mind.
I remember being in my office when breaking news flashed on the tv. What I saw would forever change my view o the world. I never imagined this kind of evil was possible, but it was happening before my very eyes.
Although many things have changed in our post 9/11 world, the wounds of the attacks still remain and I still hurt every time I think about all the lives who were lost in the attack.
As a tribute to those who gave their lives that fateful day, these sailors from the United States Naval Academy’s contemporary a capella group called The Anchormen created the moving video below. Their rendition of The Eagle’s “Hole in the World” moved me to tears.
“We hope to remind everyone, that we as a nation have never forgotten you, and we will continue to fight to protect the liberties we as Americans cherish,” the group wrote on YouTube.
Please pause for a moment to remember those who lost their lives on 9/11.
We will never forget. Please share!
