Memories are created on wedding days and every bride and groom wants everything to be absolutely perfect. But sometimes things don’t go as planned, and in the midst of an emergency, family comes first.
After Sarah Ray and her husband had said their vows, she received the news that her father and grandmother were in a terrible car accident just a couple of miles from the church. A trained paramedic, she immediately sprung into action.
Sarah picked up the train of her beautiful gown and rushed to her father’s aid. Upon arrival, she was told the car was totaled, but was relieved to discover that no one was seriously injured. Her grandmother was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but everything looked good.
“I was scared on the way there,” Sarah said. Her mother, Marcy Martin snapped the photograph of her arriving with first responders.

“I love this photo because it shows her character and accentuates her beauty,” Martin told reporters.
“Anybody in the EMS field would’ve done the same thing I don’t know if what I did was special but I was in a wedding dress,” Sarah said humbly.
“I was just making sure my family was okay, I just happened to be in a wedding dress.”
