Losing a beloved grandfather is one of the most difficult trials we go through in this life. Grandfathers hold an honored place in the family, and when they are no longer with us, it can be difficult to find the right words to express your love and gratitude for all he brought to your life.

It can be hard to know what to do with a loved one’s clothes after they’ve passed away, especially those items which they wore so often that the clothes are well connected to them in our memory.

With that in mind, this thoughtful grandpa had his favorite shirt made into a pillow with a message to help remind his family that though he is gone, his memory and legacy live on. The note reads, “This is shirt I used to wear. Whenever you hold it, know that I am there. -Love Grandad.”
