Russia Gives France Puppy To Replace 'Diesel' The Police Dog Killed In Terrorist Attack

In a move of solidarity, Russia has donated a German Shepherd puppy to France after a beloved police dog named Diesel was killed in an anti-terror raid following the November Paris attacks.

During a ceremony at the French Embassy in Moscow yesterday, Russia’s Deputy Interior Minister handed over a German Shepherd puppy named Dobrynya, to the French Ambassador to honor the seven-year-old Belgian Shepherd Diesel, who was killed while taking part in a police raid in Saint-Denis, north of Paris

In the video below, the French Ambassador to Russia, Jean-Maurice Ripert, described the gift as “a gesture that comes from the heart.”

We are with France. Please SHARE this gesture of solidarity on Facebook.
