A woman in Bartow, Florida alerted police after her husband, who is a cop, told her that he was having an affair with a 15-year-old girl.

Eloisa Velez told investigators that “she had been aware that her husband, 27-year-old Officer Randy Velez, was having an affair, but she had not known the girl’s age until recently,” according to several news reports.

She also revealed that her husband told her he wanted to have other affairs but “that it takes planning” and he “just got lucky that day.”

Deputies were monitoring a telephone call between Eloisa and Randy when the officer admitted to the affair and that “he should be in jail,” according to Polk Sheriff’s Office arrest documents obtained by The Ledger.

Police contacted the 15-year-old girl who confirmed to detectives that she had sex with the officer, and that the two had talked about “being in a relationship together.”

Randy Velez is currently being held in the Polk County jail, charged with one count each of lewd battery and lewd molestation. His first court appearance was scheduled for Thursday, the report said.
