With every passing day we’re all getting older, and one thing is for certain – each of us will be elderly one day. At that time, we will hope that those who care for us will be compassionate and understanding of the unique challenges of treating those who are old and frail.

That’s what Jaki Taylor hoped when she hired Anastasia Oluoch to care her sickly 90-year-old father. But when she reviewed the footage from the security camera, she discovered every daughter’s worst nightmare.

According to news reports, Taylor became suspicious of the home caregiver and set up the camera, only to confirm her fears.

After the video was made public in 2007, Oluoch fled to Kenya to avoid charges of “elderly abuse, assault and reckless endangerment.” But she finally faced justice and pleaded guilty after being arrested recently. The video footage from the security camera was crucial evidence for the trial.
