Actor Jamie Foxx Risks Own Life To Rescue Man From Burning Truck

Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx has played plenty of heroes on the big screen. But Monday night he played one in real life. Foxx is being hailed a hero after he rescued a man whose pickup truck crashed and caught fire in front of his California home.

According to media reports, Brett Kyle, 32, was driving his Toyota Tacoma in “at a high rate of speed” in Moorpark, a town in Ventura County, California, when the truck drifted into a drainage ditch and rolled over multiple times. The truck landed on its passenger side and caught fire with Kyle trapped inside. That’s when Foxx jumped into action.

“As I’m getting him out, I said, ‘You’ve got to help me get you out because I don’t want to have to leave you,’” Foxx told reporters. “I said, ‘You’ve angels around you.’”

Ventura County Fire Department spokesman Capt. Mike Lindbery said: “It was a pretty courageous thing to do. It’s rare these days that you find someone willing to jump in to help like that.”

Foxx spoke about the incident with ABC News in the video below:

Well done Mr. Foxx! Please SHARE this awesome act of kindness.
