Soldier Returns Home, Meets Newborn Daughter For The First Time In Touching Video

Published on Jan 22, 2016

Our brave military heroes sacrifice time with their loved ones in order to serve active duty in various destinations across the world. The immense sacrifices they make to preserve our right to freedom often come with no guarantee of a return. That’s why we rejoice when we see them coming back home.

When U.S. Navy Lieutenant Dan Haws was called to serve in Afghanistan in 2009, he was forced to leave behind not only his wife but their firstborn baby as well.

At the time of his deployment, his wife was pregnant – only five weeks away from her due date, so the soldier was not present when his child was born. But when he returned in 2010 and finally got the chance to meet his beautiful 4-month-old daughter for the first time, the reunion couldn’t be more precious.

The emotional moment was captured in the video below, which has been shared over 100,00 times since it was posted to Vimeo.

Please SHARE this touching video on Facebook if you love seeing our soldiers come home.
