Crimewatch is a serious matter, but this unexpectedly awkward TV moment seems to have caused some hilarity on social media.

Presenters Jason Mohammad and Sophie Raworth were running through the “updates” on previous cases that had been solved during their show Monday night when a particular mugshot flashed up right alongside Jason.

The presenter’s resemblance with the suspect was, well… Awkward. Viewers took to twitter to share the ‘interesting’ moment.

Everyone was impressed that he managed to keep a straight face

Thankfully, the suspect in question, who was wanted for a brutal assault on an elderly, has been caught since his crime was first featured on the show, and snetenced to 18 years in prison, according to media reports.
