Mountain Lions are notoriously stealthy cats, and have, on occasion, given unsuspecting hikers the scare of their lives. Take for example this woman in this video.
Cougars are mostly found in mountain regions, like California and Colorado. Yet in Florida, the cougar – or panther, as some call it – population is quite slim. That makes this encounter in the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary all the more unexpected.
The woman, Tina Dorschel, posted this video of her walking on what appeared to be an elevated path or bridge when she was suddenly faced with a running mountain lion!
“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god,” Dorschel utters as the predator came towards her. I would probably be saying the same thing too! Thankfull, the cat ran straight past her.
