She Was Being Abused By Her Step-Father, But Then These Bikers Pulled Up And Did This …

Every year, more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States, according to the Department Of Child Protective Services. It’s a terrible epidemic that we at Tabooya are dedicated to put an end to. To do this, we need to first increase awareness of the issue itself. So when we came across this story, we knew we had to share it with you.

When a parent or caregiver causes severe emotional or physical harm to a child, the negative effects often last a lifetime. The more severe the abuse, the more likely a child was at risk to make poor decisions later in life.

Sadly, sometimes these children don’t have who can speak on their behalf. Thankfully, there’s the Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA), a bunch of big, tough, scary-looking bikers with big hearts who rally around victims of abuse and provide protection and support.

Once BACA is contacted on behalf of a victim, like an answered prayer, members of the nearest local chapter ride out to meet the victim and watch over them. Beyond protection from their abusers, the bikers also provide victims with genuine friendships and a sense of hope.

When they got word that this young girl had been abused by her step-father since she was 10, they jumped into action to provide her with protection and emotional support. The poor girl was so traumatized that she couldn’t eat or sleep, and took showers with all her clothes on. Eventually, her mom –identified here only as ‘Mother Duck’– found out what was happening and was able to kick her abusive husband out, but the damage was done.

However, the kind bikers made sure she felt safe wherever she went while her abuser was being tried, and they’ve remained a part of her life ever since.
